General Terms & Conditions

(Across all our professional services)

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of ScienceBy scientific writing and publication support services. By placing an order, submitting documents, making a payment, or engaging with any service offered by ScienceBy, the client (“Author/Client”) agrees to be legally bound by the following terms.

A. Scientific Writing

1. Scope of Services

  • ScienceBy provides professional academic and scientific writing assistance only.

  • Services may include writing, drafting, rewriting, editing, proofreading, formatting, referencing, and structuring.

  • Writing services are strictly intended for scholarly, educational, and research-support purposes.

  • ScienceBy does not offer services for misleading, or unethical submissions.

2. Client Eligibility & Use

  • Clients must be students, researchers, faculty, clinicians, institutions, or organizations engaged in academic or scientific work.
  • Services must not be used to misrepresent authorship, qualifications, or professional standing.

3. Author Responsibility & Integrity

  • The client confirms ownership or lawful access to all ideas, data, results, figures, and study materials shared.

  • ScienceBy does not generate fake data, manipulate results, or conduct false experiments.

  • The client is solely responsible for ethical approvals, informed consent, and regulatory compliance.

  • Final submission decisions rest entirely with the client.

4. Originality & Plagiarism Policy

  • Content is developed to be original and customized.
  • Similarity scores may vary depending on databases, tools, and journal checks.
  • ScienceBy is not responsible for similarity arising from references, templates, or standard scientific terminology.
  • Any plagiarism introduced after delivery is outside ScienceBy’s liability.

5. Information Accuracy & Scientific Validity

  • ScienceBy relies on client-provided topics, information and published literature.

  • The accuracy of hypotheses, interpretations, conclusions, and claims remains the client’s responsibility.

  • ScienceBy does not validate clinical, statistical, or experimental accuracy unless explicitly agreed.

6. Communication & Client Cooperation

  • All project communication shall occur through official ScienceBy channels.
  • Timely client responses are essential to meet delivery timelines.
  • Failure to respond may result in timeline extensions without penalty to ScienceBy.

7. Turnaround Time & Delivery

  • Timelines are estimates and not guaranteed deadlines.

  • Urgent or expedited requests before the quoted period may incur additional fees.

  • Delays due to unforeseen complexity or revisions are not grounds for dispute.

8. Revisions & Change Requests

  • Revisions are limited to scope agreed at project initiation.
  • Requests involving topic change, new data, or major restructuring are treated as new work.
  • Revision windows are time-bound as communicated at delivery.

9. Payment Terms

  • Full or milestone-based advance payment is mandatory.

  • Prices depend on manuscript type, length, complexity, and urgency.

  • Taxes, if applicable, shall be borne by the client.

10. Refund & Cancellation (Writing Services)

  • Writing services are non-refundable once work has commenced.
  • Partial refunds, if approved, are discretionary and based on work completed.
  • Dissatisfaction with academic outcomes does not qualify for refunds.

11. Confidentiality & Data Security

  • ScienceBy treats all materials as confidential.

  • Internal sharing is limited to assigned experts only.

  • Clients are advised to retain copies of all submitted files.

12. Intellectual Property & Usage Rights

  • Upon full payment, usage rights transfer to the client.
  • ScienceBy retains the right to refuse public attribution.
  • Drafts remain confidential working documents until final delivery.

13. Ethical Compliance & Misuse

  • ScienceBy reserves the right to refuse requests involving ghost authorship misuse, thesis resale, or academic fraud.

  • Any violation may result in immediate termination without refund.

14. Limitation of Liability

ScienceBy shall not be liable for academic penalties, institutional action, or professional consequences arising from content use.

B. Publication

1. Nature of Publication Services

  • Publication services are advisory and facilitative in nature.
  • ScienceBy does not function as a journal, publisher, or editorial authority (except for ScienceBy’s own publication).
  • Services include guidance, coordination, and technical support only.

2. No Guarantee of Acceptance or Indexing

  • Acceptance decisions are solely controlled by journals.

  • ScienceBy does not guarantee acceptance, fast-track approval, or indexing.

  • Indexing status may change after publication and is beyond ScienceBy’s control.

3. Journal Recommendation & Selection

  • Recommendations are based on scope, manuscript quality, and author preference.

  • Final journal selection and submission authorization must be approved by the client.

  • ScienceBy is not responsible for journal policy changes.

4. Submission & Editorial Handling

  • Submission may be handled by ScienceBy or the client, as agreed.
  • Editorial correspondence timelines are controlled by journals.
  • ScienceBy is not liable for communication delays from editors or reviewers.

5. Peer Review & Revision Support

  • Reviewer-response support is limited to academic assistance.

  • Extensive rewrites or multiple rejections may or may not require additional fees based on the intense of work.

  • Reviewer decisions are independent and final.

6. Publication Timelines

  • All timelines provided are indicative estimates.
  • Journals may delay decisions due to backlog, reviewer availability, or policy updates.
  • Such delays do not constitute service failure.

7. Fees, APCs & Third-Party Costs

  • Service fees do not include journal APCs unless specified.

  • APCs are payable directly to publishers.

  • ScienceBy is not responsible for APC changes or waivers.

8. Withdrawal, Rejection & Resubmission

  • Withdrawal after submission does not qualify for refunds.
  • Resubmission to a different journal may or may not require a new agreement based on the weightage of the work. Eg: A change from Q3 to Q1 journal costs additional fee.
  • Manuscript transfer policies are subject to journal rules.

9. Compliance With Journal & Publisher Policies

  • Clients must disclose conflicts of interest, funding, and ethical approvals.

  • ScienceBy is not liable for post-submission policy violations.

10. Refund Policy (Publication Services)

  • No refunds once editorial processing or submission has begun.
  • Rejection does not constitute service failure.

11. Post-Publication Matters

  • ScienceBy is not responsible for retractions, expressions of concern, or post-publication disputes.

  • Citation counts, impact, and visibility are outside ScienceBy’s control.

12. Limitation of Liability

ScienceBy shall not be liable for rejection, delisting, journal closure, or publisher-imposed sanctions.

C. General Terms

1. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of India (Chennai).

2. Force Majeure

ScienceBy shall not be liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.

3. Amendments

  • Terms may be updated periodically.
  • Continued use implies acceptance of revised terms.

4. Severability

If any provision is held invalid, remaining provisions shall remain enforceable.

5. Acceptance

By engaging ScienceBy services, the client confirms full understanding and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
